Dear Brothers & Sisters of the Hidden Village Ward,
We sure love and appreciate you! We thank you for your prayers and service during this past year as we all have had to adjust our lives because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are grateful that the Lord has been answering our prayers and that we have seen our opportunities to gather together increase. I testify that the Lord is in the details of our lives and it is his will that we continue to return to normal activity. After counseling with our area authorities, the Stake Presidency and other Bishops, I would like to announce some further adjustments to our worshiping the sabbath:
· Beginning July 4, 2021, we will return to the full two hour block. (9:00 am to 11:00 am). We invite all who are physically able, to join with us each week for the purpose of gathering and the partaking of the sacrament. (Moroni 6: 5, 6)
· Sacrament meeting will return to a 60 minute meeting (9:00 am to 10:00 am)
o All pews will be available for seating.
o Sacrament will be held in its usual place after ward business and prior to speakers.
o Sacrament will be administered row by row. Those preparing and passing the sacrament will continue using safe and sanitary procedures.
o Hymnals and a printed program will be available.
o Sacrament meeting broadcast may continue for those who are home bound and for those as approved by the Bishop. (See General Handbook Chapter 29.7)
o Sacrament may be provided for those who are home bound and for those as approved by the Bishop. (See General Handbook Chapter 18.9.1)
· Primary will return to holding classes each week.
o Nursery will be provided.
As we move forward with these changes I encourage us all to refocus our lives on the Savior. We invite you to recommit yourselves in ministering to others and seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit as you do so! Let’s take time to reflect on what we have learned this past year, and lets look forward with a “Perfect brightness of hope”. If you have any concerns about these announced changes please contact a member of the bishopric or President Canepari of the Elders Quorum or President Hanson of the Relief Society.
Love,
Bishop Brandon W. Burningham
